Al-Ahly

Al-Ahly refers to a prominent sports club in various Arab countries, most notably Egypt. The name “Al-Ahly” translates to “The National” in Arabic. It is often associated with one of the most successful and historically significant football (soccer) clubs in Africa, Al-Ahly SC, based in Cairo. Founded in 1907, the club has a rich history in Egyptian and African football, winning numerous national and continental titles. Al-Ahly is also known for its strong fan base and rivalry with other clubs, particularly Zamalek SC, forming one of the fiercest rivalries in African football. The term “Al-Ahly” may also refer to other clubs in different countries, such as Al-Ahly Club in Saudi Arabia or Al-Ahly Tripoli in Libya, which share a similar focus on sports and represent their communities or nations.
